Kiasmos's music is hard to define. Blending elements of modern classical and electronic music, the duo takes listeners on a journey to a different world with each track. These worlds can be melancholic and atmospheric at times, or rhythmic and electronic at others. There is always a sense of discovery in Kiasmos' music. They offer an experience that surprises the listener and opens up new horizons.

After focusing on solo projects and collaborations following their debut album in 2014, Ólafur Arnalds and Janus Rasmussen reunited in 2023 to create the "Flown" EP. This short but impressive work is a comeback that Kiasmos fans have been waiting for a long time.

The opening track, "Flown," stays true to Kiasmos's essence, taking the listener on a melancholic and atmospheric journey. The piano melody at the beginning of the track reflects Arnalds' unique style. Electronic elements then come into play, adding depth and dynamism to the piece.

"Told" and "Dazed" are more rhythmic and electronic. We can also feel the inspiration that Arnalds and Rasmussen gained from their travels around the world in these tracks. "Told" is a piece that Arnalds wrote in Iceland and was inspired by nature. "Dazed" is a piece that Rasmussen wrote in Indonesia and was influenced by local music.

The "Flown" EP shows that Kiasmos is still at the top of their creative game. This EP is a work that will satisfy Kiasmos fans and attract new listeners.
