How did Mayan Warrior come about?
Mayan Warrior is a project born from the spirit of the Burning Man Festival, one of the world's most unique and famous festivals. Mayan Warrior brings together a diverse range of talents from Mexico City and Northern California, from artists and craftsmen to photographers and designers, technologists and architects to musicians.
The main aim of the project is to show deep and profound respect for the visual and auditory cultural roots and to introduce contemporary Mexican electronic music to the world. As a beloved art car, Mayan Warrior was engulfed in flames last year at a charity event in Mexico. However, founder Pablo Gonzalez Vargas and his team are determined to keep the spirit of Mayan Warrior alive.
Contemporary Mexican electronic music, which has resonated in cities like London, Dubai, Miami and New York, will be heard for the first time in Istanbul on July 20th.
